Elements of design often integrate into these cabinets–fitting a landscape design into a portrait oriented cabinet. The client wanted a “mountain scene” so we came up with this design, proportionally scaled it to fit inside the router’ed borders, and provide enough air space on all sides to make the design work.
This client already had his dart board, so we just had to put the corks in and have enough space to get his dart board attached from the back with the provided pilot holes.
He also sent me a few photos after it was hung in his home–I really like the floating shelf that is below to catch falling/errant darts.
3 coats of polyurethane–I’ve started using Generals Finishes poly vs Minwax or other “cheaper” brands.
